This website currently focuses on ground-level ozone (smog). Future plans for this website are to expand the geographic coverage of the current ozone maps and to include other pollutants. The Ozone Mapping Project is part of EPA's Environmental Monitoring for Public Access and Community Tracking (EMPACT) initiative - a new approach to providing timely environmental information to communities.
