  • US EPA Databases
  • National Library of Medicine Databases
    • MEDLINE Consumer health information presented in an easy-to-understand format. 
    • PubMed   Over 16,000 journal citations from MEDLINE and other life science journals. 
    • WISER  A system designed to assist first responders in hazardous material incidents, as well as its toxicology and environmental health resources.
    • Toxnet  (Toxicology Data Network) A series of databases accessed through the National Library of Medicine.
    • Household Products Database  This database links over 5,000 consumer brands to health effects from Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) provided by the manufacturer.
    • Toxline  References from toxicology literature. 
    •  Toxic Chemical Release Inventory  Annual releases of over 600 chemicals by U.S. facilities.
    •  Developmental and Reproductive Toxicology  Current and past literature on developmental and reproductive toxicology.
    •  Hazardous Substances Data Bank  Comprehensive, peer-reviewed literature on thousands of chemicals. 

       
  • HazDat  ATSDR's Hazardous Substance Release and Health Effects Database

  • Pub Hub  An archive of publications focusing on environmental health and nursing issues

  • THOMAS  Legislative information from the Library of Congress -- bills, resolutions, committee reports, congressional records and more.

  • GEO Data Portal  The source for data sets used by the United Nations Environment Program and a variety of other enviornmental assessments.  The database contains over 450 variables.

  • State Cancer Profiles  Cancer statistics by county and state including comparison tables, interactive maps and graphs. 

  • AIRNow  Provides easy access to national air quality information, daily Air Quality Index forecasts as well as real-time AQI conditions for over 300 cities across the US. 

  • Terra-Server USA   Provides free public access to a vast data store of maps and aerial photographs of the United States.

  • Skin Deep Cosmetics Safety Database  Learn about the chemicals found in cosmetics and personal care products.

  • Scorecard  Environmental Defense Fund interactive website listing pollution data by zip code.  Get a detailed pollution report for any U.S. zip code. 

  • March of Dimes Perinatal Data  Developed by the March of Dimes Perinatal Data Center, the PeriStats Web site provides free access to US, state, county, and city maternal & infant health data.

Toxicant and Disease Database  A searchable database that summarizes links between chemical contaminants and approximately 180 human diseases or conditions.
